We visit 3 Arts District craft breweries by bike. Angel City, Iron Triangle and Boomtown breweries are all within a short ride of each other. We hear the founding backstories and visit the tasting rooms. Along the way, we fill you in on the past present and future of the Arts District neighborhood. We do not provide alcohol on this tour, although you have the option to leave your bike at our last stop, if you would like to imbibe, or return to Grand Central Market with us. Of course we'll bring the pannier bags incase you want to buy a crowler or 2. Our last stop is less than a mile walk and we provide a $5 credit code.
We start our tour at Grand Central Market, LA's 100 year old food hall. There we will fit you with a Pure 8-speed bicycle and a Bell helmet. Then we take a quick downhill ride through Little Tokyo to our first stop, Angel City Brewery. Angel City is the largest of the craft breweries we visit and is kitted out in an Art Deco style, with a large tasting room, and a private bar space in the gift shop just for us. Next we ride through the heart of the Arts District where I'll fill you in on some of the history of this emerging neighborhood. Our next stop is Iron Triangle Brewery, smallest of the brewers we visit, hidden on a back street in a historic former livery stable, with its stunning casks on display in the tasting room. Our tour receives 25% off all purchases here. Then its off to Boomtown; aptly named, this brewer is on fire right now. Its vast warehouse brewery and tasting room is adorned with murals and textiles made by artists from the neighborhood. Here you have the option to leave your bike and make this the last stop, or ride back to Grand Central Market. The Metro is less than a mile walk, and there's always Uber and Lyft.
