Recently, I attended an event to watch a documentary called "Boys and Men Healing," unexpected of what the idea would be behind it. The main topic of this film was sexual assault, but to my surprise, a victim of sexual assault was present at the showing and was featured in it. His name is Mark and he has dedicates much of his life to giving a voice for those who have been sexually assaulted. No one can deny from the renowned fact that we live in a very violent world; Violence is a part of our everyday life. We see it on the news, on the streets, we may even see it from our families. Unfortunately, many civilians do not try to change this epidemic . I know that utopia is a far off dream that may never be reached, but it does not mean that we should stop from reaching, praying, and hoping to attain it. Although the world may never be perfect, it does not mean that we need to stop trying to seek perfection. Our purpose for this event is to raise awareness of the brutality in the world. It is for those boys and girls, men and women who need a voice. Moreover, they need you.
